A tiny collagraph print, #11 in a series called Tiny 2019. It is made with cadmium yellow and cobalt violet. In combination these produce a rich orange colour.
By chance, I found myself in 2014, 2015 and 2017 making several series of tiny prints. In 2019, I decided to make another similar series, of which this is one. It uses the same collagraph plates as the 2015 series in the same fashion, but with a different colour pallete. Each image made this way is unique. The texture comes from acrylic texture paste applied to the card plate and sealed with varnish
The print is about 60 mm (2.5″) square and is made on a hand made grey-brown banana paper about 125 mm x 125 mm (about 5″ x 5″.) The image shown on your screen is probably larger than the physical print. This shows the rich physical texture and subtle shading possible with this technique.
The price includes a mount sized to fit a 6″ x 6″ frame (aboout 150 mm x 150 mm). There are four distinct series of similar prints, two of them tiny collagraph prints such as this one.
